Our History

From Bogotá to Austin

The story of MCI Austin is a story of obedience and faith. In 2024, a group of passionate leaders answered the call to bring the vision of Misión Carismática Internacional to the heart of Texas.

Today we are a vibrant, multicultural community in Round Rock, convinced that God has an extraordinary purpose for this region and for every person who walks through our doors.

1983

MCI founded in Bogotá, Colombia

Pastors César and Claudia Castellanos found Misión Carismática Internacional with the G12 vision to disciple nations.

2000

International expansion

The G12 vision spreads to more than 60 countries. MCI becomes one of the fastest-growing churches in the world.

2024

MCI arrives in Austin, Texas

MCI Austin is born with a group of committed leaders dedicated to transforming Round Rock and the greater Austin area with the Gospel.

Growing in community

Two years of ministry, transformed families, active G12 cells and Sunday services impacting lives every week.

Our Mission

To win souls for Christ, ground them in the faith, disciple them in the Lord and send them to multiply His kingdom in Austin and the world. We are a church called to transform lives, families and communities through the transforming power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Our Vision

To be a church that covers Austin and the world with the glory of God, reaching every person through the model of the 12. We see a generation of leaders who disciple, form and send others, multiplying the kingdom of God without geographic limits.

What We Believe

Our Core Beliefs

Founded on the Word of God and the historic Christian faith.

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, our infallible guide for faith, conduct and daily life.

The Trinity

We believe in one eternal God who exists in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, co-equal and co-eternal.

Jesus Christ

We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, sinless life, atoning death, bodily resurrection and second coming.

Salvation

We believe salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, and that all who believe in Him will have eternal life.

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the person and work of the Holy Spirit, who indwells every believer and equips the church with spiritual gifts for service.

The Church

We believe the church is the body of Christ, made up of all believers, called to make disciples of all nations.

Deep Roots

The vision that inspired us

Pastors César and Claudia Castellanos

In 1983, in Bogotá, Colombia, Pastors César and Claudia Castellanos founded what would become one of the most impactful churches in the history of Latin American Christianity.

The G12 vision — based on the model of Jesus and His twelve disciples — transformed not only Colombia, but more than 60 nations around the world. The principle is simple: one leader wins twelve, disciples them, and each of those twelve wins twelve more. An exponential multiplication of the kingdom.

MCI Austin was born from that same DNA. The same vision, the same passion, now planted in the heart of Texas to reach this generation.
